Fall Fest
We are very excited to be able to host this years Fall Fest on October 29th! But we need your help!!
Each October Strandwood Families and our many volunteers host Fall Fest, a community building activity that is free for all!
Strandwood is decked out in Fall decorations as people arrive in costume ready to "Trunk or Treat," at car trunks decorated by Strandwood families. Enter the Pie-Eating Contest, take the Cake Walk, play games, visit our Book Fair, and much more.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Set Up/Break Down - Parent volunteers are desperately needed to help with the set up and break down of the event.
Trunk or Treat Cars - Deck out your car while families “Trunk or Treat!” Candy is provided by Strandwood PTA
Carnival Booth Workers - Do you have a boy scout troop, leadership group, girl scout troop, or church group that wants to help out? We are in need of volunteers to run games during Fall Fest!
Candy Donations - Donate candy for Trunk or Treat and carnival games. Simply drop your bag of candy in the basket in the main office.
Game Prizes Donations - Can you donate game prizes? Stickers, glow sticks, erasers etc…?
Cake Donations - Can you bake? In past years, we have gone through over a HUNDRED cakes at the cake walk event, so we need your help! Can be homemade or store-bought, please note if they contain allergens. Sign-up is optional, you can still bring a cake to Fall Fest no matter what! Any homemade cakes are eligible to enter the cake contest, please fill out an entry form and submit with your cake. Deliver to MUR by 4pm on the day or Fall Fest.
Bake Sale Goods - Can be homemade or store-bought.
Misc Donations - Cup of noodles, hot chocolate, apple cider, bottled water, soda, juice, ice, paper cups, paper plates, disposable forks/spoons, napkins.
