This Environmental Living Program (ELP) at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park is a very special program that has been educating and entertaining children since 1976. The program allows students, along with their teacher and trained parent assistants, to spend 24 hours (including overnight) at Sutter’s Fort. During their time here they will portray characters of 1840's California and partake in the various activities, trades, and entertainment of the era.
The Environmental Living Program is a hands-on 15-week program beginning in January, open to Fourth Graders. Students will meet every Wednesday from 12:30pm-2:00pm, with the program ending in an overnight trip to Sutter's Fort on April 26, 2016. Parent participation is mandatory and each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the overnight stay. The program is limited to 45 students on a lottery basis. Click here to view the flyer. If you are interested in your child participating, a mandatory parent meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00pm in the school library. If you have any questions, please contact Stacy Pollicino (email@example.com), Melaine Huth (firstname.lastname@example.org), or Cyndy Palermo (email@example.com).
